ALLYING for INDIGENOUS RIGHTS

Allying for Indigenous Rights is a key part of my calling as a facilitator, social innovator and coach.

From The Restoring Collective’s Peace Circle Trainings, to Vancouver Indigenous Fashion Week, to the Realising UNDRIP Initiative and numerous Sovereignty collaborators, I have worked in active Allyship for over 25 years.

Good Allyship is possible.
We need all of us to make this great transformation happen.
Its time for a new story… a story that includes all of us.”

The Allied Role

The invitation is on for Allies of every background to learn, embody, and take action with Indigenous partners, to heal the ongoing damage of colonization culture.

As a Facilitator with Indigenous partners, I uphold Indigenous ways of being to create impactful retreats and strategies. Taught to me by my many Indigenous Elders, friends, collaborators and mentors, the principles of action enable earthwise, holistic, relational, inclusive, accountable, systemic and inclusive development.

As an Ally Coach, I help potential Allies work with their inner narratives, implicit privileges, their embodied capacity for equity, shift their beliefs of what is possible, and reconnect with their own Indigeneity, to catalyse collaborative Indigenous ways of growth and equity.

Facilitating the National Indigenous Women’s Business Network Annual Retreat, 2021 & 22

Indigenous ways of being and leading create harmony, belonging, purpose, sustainability and equity. Evolved over millenia, they are made of concrete tools that can help transform our operating systems with visionary, systemic, accountable, inclusive and sustainable actions.

As UNDRIP is activated, Indigenous Nations are reclaiming their land, cultural and spiritual sovereignty. Housing, food, energy and social equity systems are being rebuilt. They could be the keys to our collective environmental and social futures.
