Things I've Done

PROJECT NAME: Site Coach
TOOLS USED: Articulate Storyline 360, Vyond, Speechelo
SKILLS USED: Instructional Design, Scenario planning, graphic design, copywriting
ABOUT PROJECT:

Problem: The existing Site Coach training for research-naïve sites is currently being presented in a vILT format. eLearning modules are needed to offer the training to more sites in order to continue to reap the benefits of the program.
Audience: Globally located research-naïve sites wishing to get involved with clinical research.
Solution: Develop a series of elearning modules that are interactive, engaging, and allow the learner to practice skills needed in clinical research.
Deliverables: I worked on this project until I moved to a new department. This is the first of what would have been 5 modules, however, I learned the project wasn’t continued.

PROJECT NAME: PM Change Project
TOOLS USED: Articulate Storyline
SKILLS USED: Instructional Design, Technical Development
ABOUT PROJECT:

Problem: A new organizational structure, along with a change in titles, was scheduled to roll out. Changing titles can be a very delicate process and there were concerns that managers might catch some negative feedback if this wasn’t handled correctly.
Audience: Managers of those affected my the organizational change. Global.
Solution: A branching scenario elearning module designed with the intention for learners to explore all the pathways of the scenario to explore positive and negative choices. If you’re struggling with scenario-based training, be sure to check out Cathy Moore’s blog and her Chainsaw example (Click Here)

Training Isn’t a Drive-Thru
As trainers, we should remind ourselves that stakeholders probably don’t know they don’t have to settle for fast-food training but rather can order a gourmet meal.
